Love for the country and people and the development of national morals are essential to any nation, especially to a nation which has only recently liberated itself from centuries of foreign rule. From the oppressors, who were in need of cheap labour, the subject people only obtained the necessary technical training and some instruction in morals and culture which only turned the pupil away from his people and drew him to the oppressor in the same way a slave should be drawn to his master.
