Abstrak

William Shakespeare is the most famous English writer ever - and probably the most famous writer in the whole world. He wrote poetry and plays, (stories to be acted on a stage). William lived over four hundred years ago. But even now visitors from all over the world come every day to see where he was born. They can see lots of other things too, like the school he went to and the church he is buried in. And almost every day they can see William's plays, put on in special theatres bult in his honour. Even as a child, William Shakespeare enjoys the plays put on by travelling actors. When he grows up he writes plays that will continue to be performed to this day.
