Abstrak

This second edition also attempts to dispel some of the misconceptions regarding transmission line transformers. These misconceptions arise from perceiving these devices as conventional transformers. Therefore, most of the concerns are related to the properties of the core such as size, loss, saturation, IMD (intermodulation distortion), frequency response and so on. Other conventional transformer properties usually considered are magnetizing current, turns ratio and primary and secondary windings. As is shown in this edition, with properly designed transmission line transformers, all these concerns are really irrelevant
